Visitors to the 50th annual Masham Steam Rally are in for a treat this year as French Chef at Home shows off his cooking skills in a series of demonstrations.
On Saturday 18 July at 12noon classically-trained chef Yves Quemerais will join a line-up of chefs from Malton Cookery School to showcase traditional French recipes made with local Yorkshire produce.
Yves, who trained under acclaimed chef Alain Ducasse, runs luxury catering company French Chef at Home. He creates bespoke menus for special occasions, corporate functions and can be hired as a private chef for luxury nights in.
The chef, who moved to Yorkshire from Paris with his wife Anne and two children, says: “I am thrilled to be demonstrating my cooking for the first time at such a fantastic event. I love Yorkshire and wherever possible I try to incorporate seasonal Yorkshire produce with the traditional gourmet flavours of France – I will be giving advice and tips on how you can do this in your own kitchen.”
Yves will be cooking some of his speciality dishes including boeuf bourguignon, cassoulet and bouillabaisse.
The Masham Steam Rally is on Saturday 18 and 19 July 2015 at Marfield Fields near Masham.
